Starting with its premiere at Sundance, the film was presented at over 200 festivals and has won 40 awards. It was the first Indian documentary to be nominated and among the finalists at the Oscars for Best Documentary. It won the Peabody Award, a recognition never before given to a documentary from India in the Pebody\u2019s 80 years of existence. In India alone, the film has screened at over 100 universities and community organisations, thus multiplying its impact.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner]
