PROJECT DESCRIPTION<\/strong><\/p>\n

The film\u00a0\u201cJap\u00f3n\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0was born during a film workshop organized for young intellectually handicapped people. Five participants and two coordinators launch out on an adventure to create, act and film the stories of their own making. Jap\u00f3n is a soccer team in perpetual competition with its rival team, Jab\u00f3n. Each workshop participant relates his own story: Messi, the kicker, is in love with Esmerelda, whom he hopes to marry; Borgez is a poet in search of his dream\u2026 Lacone travels incessantly by bus and sings like Luis Miguel\u2026 Ra\u00fal, the team\u2019s goal keeper, prepares a barbecue for his friends.<\/p>\n

The intellectually handicapped are generally marginalized by society, victims of prejudice and stereotypes.\u00a0\u201cJap\u00f3n\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0represents an alternative place where individuals can meet, play and recognize each other, an inclusive environment characterized by respect for human diversity and shared values.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner padding_top_multiplier=”2x”][vc_column_inner width=”1\/12″ animation=”fade-in” grve_css=”{“desktop“:{“margin-top“:“-25px“,“margin-left“:“-25px“,“class“:“grve-wpb-1744838676618“},“mobile_landscape“:{“margin-top“:“30px“}}”]

The phone rings.
\n\u00ab Alter-Cin\u00e9 is giving us a grant \u00bb.
\nOn the same green armchair.
\nI leaped!<\/p>\n

A sudden burst of incredible energy.
\nRecognition!
\nRepeated leaps followed
\nby the film’s protagonists.<\/p>\n

And then.
\nWe were the same,
\nbut not exactly the same.
\nOur vision was extended
\nOur confidence was refreshed and serene.<\/p>\n
