The film has had a major impact both in Palestine and internationally. It garnered more than 20 awards including Sundance Festival’s Best Documentary, a Golden Apricot and an International Emmy.  It was nominated and a finalist for Best Documentary at the Oscars.  It won Best Film at the Jerusalem Film Festival.
